What does BAC mean?
The “BAC level” is often thrown around when talking about DUI charges. The acronym BAC stands for blood alcohol content, and it refers to the concentration of alcohol present in one’s blood stream. Typically, one’s BAC level is measured on a mass per volume basis through tests such as a breathalyzer.
The legal BAC limit for operating a vehicle anywhere in the United States is 0.08%. Anyone who opts to operate a motorized vehicle with a BAC level above this percentage is at risk of being pulled over and charged with a DUI or DWI.
